Pastor Jason Bowker

Pastor Jason is passionate about the church and believes deeply that this broken, yet beautiful, collection of people is the hope of the world. He loves to create and curate intentionally communal and missional living. He loves preaching, engaging with the Bozeman community, and hanging out with the college students on Tuesday nights.

Jason began as our senior pastor in September 2015 after 2 years as the Assistant Director at The Rock Youth Center. He grew up in Havre, MT, graduated from the University of Sioux Falls, and earned his Master of Divinity degree from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology.

Jason is also really involved in the community, serving on the board of directors for Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC), The Rock Youth Center, and Templed Hills Camp.

Jason and his wife, Mandy, have 2 amazing daughters: Zoe (7) and Peyton (6). In their free time, they enjoy playing music, watching movies, and playing cards, while Jason enjoys playing basketball and watching the Mariners, along with outdoor activities like mountain biking, soccer, softball, and skiing.

Jason regularly blogs HERE.

Our Staff

  • Gary Cook

    associate Pastor

Gary moved to Bozeman in 1999 to work in a water education center at MSU and shortly thereafter joined First Baptist Church. In 2007, Gary joined the staff of FBC as the Executive Director of The Rock Youth Center. Gary is married to Tammy, a former IBM account executive, and they have two beautiful daughters: Abbey and Cassidy.

Gary serves as the worship leader for our church and is a member of the Leadership Team - amongst many other responsibilities. When he's not working, he's probably reading a book or playing (one of) his guitar(s).
